Ilkley Harriers AC pursues an active racing programme and throughout the year our members compete in road, fell, and cross country races both as individuals and in team competition. Events in a typical year include the Northern and National Cross-Country Championships, the high-calibre West Yorkshire Cross Country League, the friendly Sports Direct Cross Country League, the Harrogate District Summer Road Race League, road relays like the Northern Six Stage, the Ian Hodgson Mountain Relay, the Calderdale Way Relay, the FRA Relay, and the Leeds Country Way - more on relays.

Our runners compete in the British and the English Fell Championships.
We are active in the Yorkshire Vets AA Grand Prix and Championship races (Vets start at age 35!) and succesfully organised the The Yorkshire Veterans Athletic Association Road Relay Championship 2009

An annual Ilkley Harriers Race League is based on selected local events.
