Wharfedale Primary XC League
Junior Ilkley Harriers, established 2003

We are organising this league during the Autumn term 2010 and the Spring term 2011. All individual race details will appear on this website in good time for each of the events and the format will be identical to last season. Although there will be races for Primary School ages 1 to 6 (and in most cases Reception too) at each of the events only the results from years 3 to 6 are used for the League. Ilkley Harriers are sponsoring the League again this season.

2010/2011 details: 5 events will be followed by a School Team Relay organised by Ilkley Harriers to conclude the series.

Individual League
For the purposes of the League we will only use the results of children from 12 local Wharfedale schools (Addingham, All Saints, Ashlands, Askwith, Ben Rhydding, Burley Oaks, Burley & Woodhead, Ghyll Royd, Menston, Moorfield, Sacred Heart and Westville). Non-league school runners are still welcome to compete and will appear in the results but will not be allocated League points.

There will be 8 individual League competitions where a competitor's best 4 out of 5 results count.

Ilkley Harriers are providing the engraved plates for the first three finishers in the 8 individual League competitions and certificates to the top 20 finishers plus any child who has done 4 of the events.

School Team Relay
At the end of the series we will organise relay races, followed by the presentation of awards and certificates to individuals. These relays will take place at Nell Bank on Saturday ? March 2011. More details here
